The Dark Souls franchise has always leaned into horror for its setting and creature designs, but the PS4 exclusive Bloodborne is when Atlus fully embraced the aesthetic at every level. If you’re looking for something different, Prey is the perfect title for you. The plot also takes some exciting twists and turns, and it is a story that will stick with the player for a long time. The game has RPG elements that let Morgan take a variety of paths and unlock different items, making it worth a replay or two. This is a game that will genuinely make you terrified of a cup. The only trick is the Typhon are hard to spot because they are shape-shifters that take the form of every day objects. From there, Morgan must travel around the ship to find a way to stop the Typhon. They awaken to learn that a mysterious alien race called the Typhon have taken over the ship. In Prey, players take the role of Morgan Yu (the name is the same whether you choose a male or female protagonist) as they wake up after three years aboard the ship Talos I. It comes from the same studio that made Dishonored, so we shouldn’t be surprised that they can deliver a dark and interesting tale.
Prey has exceptional writing, an interesting plot, a lovely sci-fi environment, and horrific alien creatures to boot. Prey is a spiritual successor to the hit title from 2006, but it is ultimately vastly superior. You can also get it’s impressive expansion, The Following, in one package now.

It’s got everything that made the genre great plus some exciting parkour and RPG mechanics. If you like zombies but don’t want to play the same game with a new skin, Dying Light is an excellent option. Players will also fight humans and zombies alike, with the more dangerous zombies coming out at night. It’s all the more exciting from the game’s first-person perspective.

Players can climb buildings, jump over rooftops, and zip line from place to place. The parkour mechanics are what makes Dying Light such a unique and fun game. The story is pretty standard stuff, but that’s not why you play this game. Crane’s task is to track down Kadir Suleiman, who has a file that the GRE are heavily interested in retrieving. Whether you a are a new fan of the franchise or a diehard fan of the original, Resident Evil 2 is a must play experience. The visuals of the game are also stunning, even by modern standards. The game uses the over-the-shoulder controls first introduced in Resident Evil 4, ditching the original title’s tank controls. Both have different objectives in the game, and their branching stories reconnect at key moments in the game.
