I feel like the Gunslinger would be better if there was a better Sniper on the team than myself. The Gunslinger build was alright, especially with the Thanatos, but I didn't like getting close enough to use the pistol. In the first game, I would say my Rogue/Ranger build was best as Bloodwing was super powerful and had a one second cool-off, but I preferred the Sniper build. Bad-azzery ensued.ĭo y'all make different builds, or do you just pick whichever skills seem good to you in the spur of the moment? I always make three builds, one build specializing in each tree. They're so powerful! Since I was Mordecai, aka the pistol expert, I used a Thanatos (a machine pistol that fires as fast, if not faster than an SMG, but typically has more bullets in each clip, and is benefited by pistol-related skills). I like SMGs, too, but to me they feel a little too much like cheating. Long story short, my member title over there (like how on here it says "Well-Known Member") was "20% cooler" and during Gaige's development I offered my fair share of suggestions and at one point commented something like "If they actually use any of my ideas, or reference me somehow in-game, that would be awesome." And then lo and behold, one of her skills was named "20% Cooler." Which may be a complete coincidence, but like I said I enjoy thinking that it was for me. And because it makes me feel good about myself. I continue to believe I did, because it's a plausible scenario and there's no hard evidence to the contrary. And I still gravitated towards SMGs, though I used pistols quite a bit as well.Īlso, I may or may not have influenced the name of one of Gaige's skills. Phaselock saved my butt a lot more often than Deathtrap did, seems like. Gaige remains my favorite character of the series, for various reasons, but I think I was better with Maya. I played Borderlands 2 way more than the first one, and my main characters were Gaige and Maya. I played Lilith in the first one, because I liked SMGs and elements. I hope to get the Handsome Collection at some point though. I was very thankful they did not get rid of that 'glitch' in the Pre-Sequel.īorderlands is one of my favorite game franchises of all time, which makes it really sad that I haven't played the Pre-Sequel. I then played for half an hour and had $99,999,999.

The friend who gave me the first two Borderlands games always has difficulty getting money in B-Lands 2, and considered it an accomplishment to possess $400,000. It has extremely high damage and a blade accessory, but has an extremely low fire rate and reload speed, and has no scope.Īlso, I discovered (thanks to YouTube) the infinite money glitch.

My primary weapon was the Razorback, a unique sniper rifle manufactured by Jakobs. In Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, my character was Nisha. It has greatly increased damage and no scope. My primary weapon was the Buffalo, a unique sniper rifle manufactured by Jakobs. It has high damage and accuracy, but no scope. My primary weapon was Whitting's Elephant Gun, a unique sniper rifle manufactured by Jakobs. In Borderlands, my character was Mordecai. During my playthroughs of these games, I've noticed the following things. He liked the first one so much he went and bought the Pre-Sequel. My other future brother-in-law and I are also friends, and I got him into Borderlands, as well. Then it turned into Zapdos Electric Bloodwing and started moving again, but it didn't kill me again. Moltres Fire Bloodwing kept killing me, then it landed and didn't move, allowing me to easily defeat it. A similar thing happened during my fight with Bloodwing. I walked up to it, shot it in its eyes with my shotgun a bunch of times, and it died. It was kicking me **** quite goodly, then after my fifth death it stopped moving. The first one happened when I was fighting the Gluttonous Thresher during the mission Bright Lights, Flying City. My fondest memories, though, are two glitches that happened in Borderlands 2. Since I've only been playing for two weeks (about), I don't really have a whole lot of memories. So I would like this thread to be a place where we can discuss Borderlands, our characters, fun memories, bad memories, funny things that have happened to us, and the like.

They are super FUN! They have quickly become one of my favorite video game series, behind Elder Scrolls, Assassin's Creed, and Saints Row. I had seen him play these games before and hadn't thought too much of them. About two weeks ago, my best friend/future brother-in-law stopped by and gave me Borderlands 1 and 2.
